Our Minister and Teaching Elder

Rev. Jonathan Cowan

It is a real joy and privilege to introduce myself to you as your new minister. My name is Rev Jonathan Cowan and I am married to Tara and we have two children, Tom and Alice. Prior to coming to Dungannon, I was the minister for thirteen years in Mountjoy and Drumlegagh outside Omagh. I am originally from Co. Donegal and was a Chemistry and Biology teacher before entering the ministry. I support Manchester United, enjoy the outdoor life and a good Netflix series.

I am genuinely excited to be your new minister, and I am looking forward to getting to know you in the time ahead. As your minister I want to share the good news of Jesus through faithful preaching, evangelism and compassionate pastoral care. I am excited for all that God has in store for our congregation and wider community in the time ahead.

My Installation service will be held on Friday 11th September at 7.30pm in Scotch Street. You will be made most welcome to this special service.  My first service will be on Sunday 13th September at 10.00am in Moygashel and 11.30am in Scotch Street. I extend a particular invitation to anyone who has not been to church for a while, or perhaps has simply got out of the habit of attending. Please come and join us again.

I look forward to getting to know you in the time ahead.

In Christ's Service

Rev Jonathan Cowan
